Churches Together Community Prayers Community Prayers 9:00am on Wednesday, April 1st, 2026 Everyone is invited to join us in prayer for about 45 minutes to lift up to the Lord our community and its people, churches, businesses, activities. And no doubt we shall be praying for other things that are on our hearts, too. .jpg)
Good Friday United Walk of Witness 10:50am, 3rd April, starting at Westgate Car Park Our annual United Walk of Witness is open to everyone, including children accompanied by their parents or carers. It's a time when we remember the sacrifice that our Saviour Jesus made on the cross to redeem all who come to him in faith from the consequences of their sins. This is a great opportunity to demonstrate that the Church is alive and well, and that Jesus has many followers in our town and the surrounding area. We begin together with prayers and hymns at 11:00am, then walk quietly to the Town Hall steps for more reflections; finally, we walk to Bridgefoot Gardens to erect a wooden cross which will remain as a witness to God's love and compassion for us all. After the Walk, at about 12:15pm, there will be a chance to meet with our fellow Christians over a simple bread-and-soup lunch at St James Church Centre. The Wetherby Salvation Army hub 10:30am to 12noon on Fridays at 33 High Street, Wetherby Do go along and join in the Friday CAMEO sessions: you receive a warm welcome and possibly a cuppa.
